Bearing Seals
Bearing Seals
Our Bearing Seal design is built on our long & specialist experience with miniature seal sections for Automotive & other applications & providing unique designs to improve various aspects of performance. Our ability to design & manufacture these miniature seal sections along with special material developments has provided many solutions to difficult applications.
We can in many cases offer the benefits of bespoke rubber compounds or the bonding of PTFE facings on the seal lip.
The seals can be designed to be an integrally mounted in the special recesses within the bearing or designed to sit alongside the bearing interacting with surfaces of the bearings & housings.
APPLICATIONS
Where most production Bearings & Hub Units are designed for long life & reliability it is necessary in some higher performance applications such as Motorsports to examine the form & function of each aspect of the seal design to ascertain where friction-reduction might be found, or where the dirt exclusion properties might be improved.
Our experience with these compact products has in fact contributed to the success of our 1-pc F-Type Rear Crankshaft Seals for older engines which traditionally used unreliable 2-pc seals. In many cases in those older engines the combination of poor seal quality & materials has given oil leakage & reliability problems which have been endured for many decades. The unique design of our F-Type Seals based on small Bearing Seal sections has enabled us to provide much improved reliability & performance for our customers & leak-free engines even when using original narrow Rope Seal groove designs.
